MINUTES OF MONTHLY MEETING
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9, 2003



MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 7:06 P.M
TREASURY REPORT: Skipped due to absence of Treasurer due to illness
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion to approve last month's minutes was seconded and approved.

Floor was then turned over to Michael Quigley, Cook County Commissioner. Mr. Quigley gave an overview of his office's responsibilities and some plans that his office has in the works for adding Forest Preserve Districts to the city and improving public health facilities.

Bob Levy and Regis from Gethsemane Gardens were present at the meeting. They asked ETNA to consider approving their request for parking meters to be added to Victoria and Edgewater Streets. They wanted to add 4 parking meters on the north side of Victoria between the first alley and Clark and 3 meters on the south side of Edgewater. Further discussion after their departure led to the proposal of additional meters on Clark street.

Motion to approve meters on Victoria and Edgewater and Clark street did not carry.

Motion to approve meters on Victoria, Edgewater and Clark street with a loading zone on Clark Street for Gesthemane Gardens was approved. A letter to the Alderman's office will be sent.

OTHER ISSUES: It was noted that there is an increased number of high school aged kids hanging out in the alley with possible drug activity. It was recommended that the same concern should be voiced at the CAPS meeting the following week.
