MONTHLY MINUTES
February 14, 2007
The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. There were 15 people in attendance.
Presentation by Chris Lawrence: Chris has filed suits in federal and state courts to get back on the ballot or to postpone our ward's Aldermanic election.
The minutes of the January meeting were unanimously approved.
Treasurer's report: $405.00 on hand.
Discussion of 15 minute standing zone for 5732-4 N. Glenwood: Lisa Niscoronmi represented John Supera at the meeting to answer questions and present information about the request. The zone would be in effect from 8 AM to 6 PM. The motion to approve the standing zone passed with 12 approving and 2 abstentions.
ECC committee updates: Sue Morales, Brenda Barr and Joan Monroe are all ECC board members and members of committees. Sue encouraged ECC members of ETNA to attend committee meetings.
Tom Samuels could not attend the meeting to give us an update on Ridge parking. It seems parking on Ridge is on hold indefinitely.
Update: As noted in the October, November and January minutes Pat Daly had informed the block club that he will have the roof on his long term Clark project by December "weather permitting". This was the warmest and driest December in recorded history and the roof is still not on the building.
1210 W. Bryn Mawr: A request was made to the alderman by the Lakewood Balmoral Rowhouse Owners Association to alleviate pooling water beside an illegal curb cut leading to the alley. The Alderman has requested an opinion from the block club on the matter. A motion to send a letter to the Alderman to enforce the law and have the illegal curb cut removed was unanimously approved.
The Gethsemane committee requested by the Alderman has not yet meet.
An informational booklet titled An Edgewater Resource Directory for Information and Activities produced by Team Edgewater was distributed. Who this organization is remains a mystery.
