EDGEWATER TRIANGLE NEIGHBORS ASSOCIATION
MONTHLY MINUTES
JANUARY 14, 2004

Minutes from December were approved.

Presentation from Regas from Gethsemane Gardens followed. He proposed tearing down the building by the tree lot at 5817 N. Clark. He proposed running the parking on Clark with the entrance and exit off of Clark. This will add approximately 80 parking spaces. For the two houses on Victoria that he plans on tearing down, he needs a zoning change to sell merchandise from these lots. He is agreeable to allowing these business zoned lots to revert back to residential when he sells the business.

The motion to continue with the downzone process to R3 excluding the two lots purchased by Gethsemane was approved with 16 Yes, 1 No, and 3 abstentions.

Presentation from Parking & Traffic committee followed. Goals for neighborhood parking were stated. Next meeting scheduled for February 4.

v No new updates on Broadway Armory research yet.

Speed humps that were added on Hollywood were allegedly part of the originally designed speed hump plan. The alderman's office is checking documents.

v There is still a desire to use post it notes for meeting advisories instead of customized agendas. Will discuss at February meeting.

Michael Lauzon was nominated for the position of Vice President for 2004 year.

Website update--some pictures posted and minutes are soon to be available.

v Meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.

Respectfully Submitted,

Dana Ross
