ETNA Monthly Block Club Meeting
Meeting Minutes
January 14, 2009

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM with 11 residents in attendance

December meeting minutes were approved and Treasurer reported the bank balance

There were no other committee meeting updates

Chris Lawrence suggested the group consider our own Chicago Cares project within the block club boundaries. The block club could donate time or organize a Bingo Night for the Heritage Nursing Home on Ridge. One member offered to donate a large screen TV if the nursing home needed one. Kevin Doerksen will follow up.

Two new members sought advice for preventing further apartment and auto beak-ins on Wayne beyond attending the next CAPS meeting. It was suggested we find and offer some kind of new owner security training for the block club. There are many new first time owners that need security and safety information.

A motion was made and passed unanimously that the new president asks the Alderman for status updates on two projects: the proposed permit parking in LBRC and the Hollywood/Wayne/Ridge intersection reconfiguration.

A motion was made and passed that a letter be sent to all block clubs, ECC, Senator Steans, Congresswoman Schakowsky, aldermen Smith and O’Connor that our leadership pursue opening a Peterson or Rosehill Metra station with their new federal dollars.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:08 PM
