Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:07 p.m. There were 11 people in attendance.

Old Business

Proposal for Gethsemane parking lot on Edgewater and Clark: As stated last month, the owner of Gethsemane Garden purchased the property at the corner of Edgewater and Clark, which is adjacent to his current business. He intends to tear down the four-flat building and convert the space into a parking lot that should hold around 20 vehicles. The Alderman will not approve curb cuts on Clark and has suggested that Edgewater become a two-way street from the alley to Clark St. so that vehicles can come and go from Clark St. The entrance to the lot would be on Edgewater.

Due to low attendance the group agreed to hold a special meeting on Saturday, March 18th at the location in question, at 10:00 am. This would allow time to notify the affected residents of Edgewater and Victoria and give everyone a visual representation of the change.

Announcements

Roy Steinke reminded everyone that the Greening of Ridge Ave Planters project is coming up soon and he and Ernie Constantino will be seeking volunteers for the planning committee.

Roy also shared a warning he received to beware of mulch from Katrina felled trees in Louisiana infected with the Formosan termite that may be commonly distributed through major retailers this year.

Nomination of ETNA Officers: Sue Morales agreed to take over Chris’s presidential duties. That leaves two offices open.

The minutes of the February 8th meeting were approved.

Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Sue Morales
