MONTHLY MINUTES
MAY 12, 2004




Meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m.

Paul Hletko, from EARC Block Club is looking for support to improve the playlot at Magnolia & Bryn Mawr.

Jason Lichtley, a representative from Michael Quigley's office was on hand to provide an update on the office's policies and latest initiatives.

Steve presented plans to change the 5775-5781 N. Ridge zoning from B2-2 to B4-2 to have a theater company in the space. He will also need an entertainment license. He is also planning on conducting joint programs with Senn High School.

The owner of the laundromat on Glenwood and Ridge was present and she is looking for parking solutions for her business. She would like diagonal parking on Glenwood from Ridge to Alley just south of Ridge. The city would likely not grant diagonal parking on the street due to the landscaping that is already in place.

Zoning and Planning update-The last Z&P meeting was to address Kenmore and Winthrop and their zoning options.

The motion to authorize Mark Ross to be the liaison to Alderman's office for the continuation of the downzone effort was approved 16 yes, 0 no, 0 abstentions.

Parking & Traffic committee -ECC will be at next P & T meeting for help with parking. They meet the first Wednesday of the month at Soul Cafe on Wayne and Hollywood at 7 p.m.

Graffiti and any other problems in neighborhood--call 311 for Graffiti busters.

Minutes from the prior meeting were approved.
