MONTHLY MINUTES
May 10, 2006
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:07 p.m. There were 27 people in attendance.
The minutes of the April meeting were unanimously approved.
Hollywood Pantry packaged goods license proposal: Marilyn Arman (President of Hollywood Pantry) read a letter of support from Adrian Colak (the building owner) supporting the proposal. Marilyn and her brother Jimmy promised to be responsive to community concerns.
Chris Lawrence made a motion to disapprove.
Aye: 9, Nay: 6, Abstain: 3
The motion to disapprove carries. The alderman will be notified.
Turkish Bakery Awning: No representative of Turkish Bakery present. Chris Lawrence makes a motion to table this discussion.
Aye: 16, Nay: 0, Abstain: 0
The motion to table carries.
Permit parking for LBRC: Chris Lawrence makes a motion to not support LBRC permit parking.
Aye: 12, Nay 0, Abstain: 1
The motion to not support permit parking carries.
Peirce School Mulchfest cancelled: Chris Lawrence makes a motion to express disgust with cancellation of mulchfest. A letter should be sent to the Alderman and the Principal of Peirce School.
Aye: 15, Nay 0, Abstain: 1
The motion to express disgust with cancellation of mulchfest carries.
Rae Ann Cerle made an announcement about Walk for Hunger and an upcoming property tax seminar. She also says ECC is recruiting members from the northern portion of ECC and encourages people to join.
