MONTHLY MINUTES
November 8, 2006


Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:09 p.m. There were 39 people in attendance including 8 nonresident visitors. Portions of the meeting were video recorded by 2 Northwestern students who were observing the meeting.

The minutes of the October meeting were unanimously approved with an ammendment to the Fire station item toward the end.

Treasurer's report: $418.95 on hand.

Presentation by Aldermanic Candidate
Chris Persons came to the meeting with 4 supporters and his young son. His presentation touched on housing, education, crime, TFl's and transportation. There was a short question and answer session.

Presentation by Pat Daly and Architect Patrice Craig
3 different plans were shown for a condo building at the 7-11 site. The first option called for a zoning change. The other 2 options needed various exceptions. .
A motion was made to accept the first proposal by Tony Philips. Aye:21 Nay:4 Abstain:1 The motion passed.
Mr. Daly also affirmed that his property at 5647 N. Clark is on schedule to have its roof on by December 2006.

Flyer Language Issue
A brief discussion about adding a Spanish message to the flyers came to the conclusion that no message will be added.

Announcements
Roy Steinke has been honored by the National Council on Aging and will be flying to Washington D.C. to receive this honor.
Chris Lawrence made a motion to give Roy $150 in spending money for the trip. The motion was unanimously approved.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:39 p.m.
