OCTOBER 13, 2004
Meeting called to order @7:06 p.m.
update on 1515 Victoria: City & alderman's office would like to support the block club's downzone. The owner of the house will likely sue the city for the zoning variance.
Pat Daley, who is working on a condo project on Clark Street is still getting permits.
ECC's planning & development Committee would like to merge with EDC & block clubs for streamlining zoning variance presentations.
Alderman's office has asked us to discuss the speed hump in the alley between Olive & Hollywood. We will draft a letter to ask the alderman's office and Streets and Sanitation department to explore alternatives for the hump such as moving it or cutting a groove in the center.
ECC fund raiser: ETNA will take out 1/2 page ad in the ECC Fund Raiser program.
HRAIL program is a program to help seniors fix up their housing to install aids such as handlebars, ramps, etc.
Broadway development will host a meeting @ Philadelphia Church on October 26th.
East Clark Street may be downzoned.
All ETNA officer positions are open for elections.
Parking & zoning update--will send letter to alderman's office for parking on Ridge.
CAPS update--may get cameras installed on CTA stops for increased safety.
ADC will present on October 20th @ Swedish American Museum for study done on impact of small business oin neighborhood and quality fo life.
Residents are encouraged to use blue bags for leaves as streets and sanitation only has limited street cleaning at this time.
