EDGEWATER TRIANGLE NEIGHBORS ASSOCIATION MONTHLY MINUTES October 12, 2005

The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m.

The minutes from last month's meeting were approved.

Public Safety: Attention was focused on a community alert flyer which was distributed through the neighborhood. There have been several recent muggings and assaults in the area.

The CAPS meetings were restored to monthly, rather than bi-monthly at the Philadelphia Church. Third Wednesday of every month.

The Alderman's office was notified of the neighborhood's disappointment in not being notified of the attacks.

The police have had a noticeably increased presence in the area and they seem to be responding accordingly. The perpetrator is still at large.

Development:
Pat Daley's project on Clark Street is under review. They have not made any progress in three years and the lot sits vacant. ECC is checking with City Hall to see if he has pulled his permits for the project. If he has not, they suggested that we attempt to downzone the lot to expedite his progress.

5692-5694 N. Ridge
The potential owner of the property would like to convert the back yard into a parking lot. The lot will not be paved with ashphalt or concrete. They need an alley access permit. The motion to approve adding 14 parking spaces in the back of the building was seconded and then amended. It was amended to state that the property must stay affordable rental and any change in development needs new approval from the block club to keep the parking lot. The motion carried.

Traffic:
The Ridge Task Force about traffic on Ridge will reconvene. The BARGE block club has been asked their opinion of adding parking on Ridge. ETNA will attempt to reach out to BARGE and form a consensus on parking on Ridge.

Other business:
A motion to donate $200 to Edgewater Baptist Church After School Program was seconded and approved.

ECC is hosting their annual fund raiser at Architectural Artifacts on November 5, 2005. ETNA will pay $75 for the add matched by President Chris Lawrence for the full page add.
