EDGEWATER TRIANGLE NEIGHBORS ASSOCIAION
EDGEWATER TRIANGLE NEIGHBORS ASSOCIAION
MONTHLY MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 10, 2003

Issues: Royal Food and Liquor has requested the city for a transfer of liquor license. It will still be in the name of the same corporation, just a change in the officers of the corporation. We requested that they are present at some of our neighborhood meetings in the future to continue the rapport. Motion to accept their proposal was seconded and approved.

Approval of Minutes and Treasurer's Report: The motion to approve the minutes and Treasurer's report was seconded and approved.

Issues: Night bike ride in July proceeded down Bryn Mawr. It was suggested that we write a letter to alderman's office and the event organizers to suggest they alter the route next year due to the volume of riders and noise levels.

Update on downzone: It will go to City Council on October 1. Continued support is necessary until process is complete.

Requests will be taken at next meeting for wish list to be presented to alderman's office.

Discussion about on going gang activity in the neighborhood ensued. Everyone encouraged to attend next CAPS meeting to express concern. A group on Edgewater volunteered to chair the gang activity committee.

A volunteer for chair of traffic committee came forward.

Chairman of planning committee is still open.

Discussion about ETNA's tax status ensued. If we change to non-profit organization, we receive bulk mail discounts, better website discounts. On the other hand, the 501c3 form is $85 per year. The movement to host website for one year at the best price was seconded and approved.

Meeting adjourned: 8:02 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Dana Ross
Secretary
